The Essendon Historical Society’s first monthly meeting of 2013 will take place at 7:30pm on 26th February at the Courthouse, Cnr Kellaway Ave and Mount Alexander Road, Moonee Ponds.

Member, Bob Mackay will be speaking on “The Moonee Ponds Tragedy,” about the murder of a man in Moonee Ponds in 1893. They will also be hosting a “Show and Tell” of historically interesting objects open to visitors.

The Society’s 2013 Calendars, featuring a sample of historic photos of local sites is now on sale and can be purchades at the Meeting.
