Flemington Racecourse has launched the new Flemington Heritage Centre and Heritage Trail, to commemorate the milestone 150th running of the Melbourne Cup.
For the first time in the 150 year history of the Melbourne Cup, visitors to the world-famous racetrack can go behind the scenes of this National Heritage listed site on a guided tour.
The Flemington Heritage Centre’s Racecourse of Dreams exhibition also features priceless artifacts from the VRC’s archives, along with dynamic and emotional multimedia, that brings to life the excitement of Flemington.
The centre also includes a gift shop and the Vinery Café, the perfect place to enjoy morning tea, coffee or a light lunch.
This cultural and sporting mecca also boasts the largest public rose garden in the Southern hemisphere
Experience the heritage, heroes and events that have made the Melbourne Cup, the race that stops a nation.

Tours depart at 10.30am and 2pm daily (tour duration approximately one hour). Tours on Mondays and Tuesdays require an appointment.
Admission includes guided walking tour and entry into the Racecourse of Dreams exhibition (inside the Flemington Heritage Centre).
