Moonee Valley’s recent Cancer Council Victoria Relay For Life, held at Essendon Football Club, saw more than 1,271 locals come together to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost and fight back against the disease in a moving, overnight event that raised $200,000.

“Staging Relay For Life requires dedication from many people – people whose lives are often busy but whose common passion to fight cancer drives them on,” Cancer Council Relay For Life Coordinator Natalie Livsey said.

“On behalf of the Cancer Council, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Relay For Life Volunteer Committee, team captains and participants and everyone involved for their contributions – so many gave us their time, skills and knowledge without which, the event simply would not have been possible, or as successful,” she said. …more
