STAG presents the world premiere of a new Melbourne play Katerina by PJ Armstrong directed by Mel De Bono at the Strathmore Community Hall.

STAG continues its mission to encourage and promote the works of local playwrights with a full season of PJ Armstrong’s new play Katerina. This follows the recent performance of Six Thirty for Seven and last season’s premiere of Betty’s Birthday.

Kat, a single woman in her 20s, is a published novelist and, while trying to write her second book, she develops serious writer’s block. Her life is in absolute chaos and her love life in crisis mode. With the help of her cross-dressing best friend Steff, she tries to get her life back on track, despite all obstacles – with hilarious results. A modern-day farce set in an inner-city block of flats, we see how Kat learns the value of love and friendship and – most importantly – how to say “NO”!
