The fifth annual Mayoral Race Day is back for 2009, hosted by the Moonee Valley Racing Club.

The event is a fantastic and free school holiday activity, with face painting, easel art, tug of war and much more! Over the past four years the day has raised over $90,000 for Moonee Valley Friendship City, the Liquica district in East Timor, as well as other local causes such as the SES, Variety the Children’s Charity and other youth programs. This years proceeds will be jointly donated to Liquica and the bushfire recovery needs in the effected Murrindindi Shire.
