The Essendon Football Club, Windy Hill Venue will be hosting a Very Special Kids fundraising event on Friday 28th August. Very Special Kids is a unique organisation that supports families throughout their experience of caring for children with life-threatening illnesses, from diagnosis through to recovery or bereavement. Such illnesses include cancer, muscular dystrophy, neuro-degenerative and genetic conditions and rare syndromes. Sadly, many of the children will not reach adulthood.
Very Special Chartbusters is a celebration of great Australian music from the past 50 years. Performing the hits of the Australian pop era from the 50’s through to the 80’s, this 4 piece band will have you entertained all night long. Songs like ‘shout’ by Johnny O’Keefe, ‘Friday on my mind’ by the Easybeats, ‘Sadie’ by John Farnham, ‘Eagle Rock’ by Daddy Cool and ‘Boys light up’ by Australian Crawl just to name a few.
Four piece girl group, FUSION will be the support act, plus there will be a memorabilia auction. While you enjoy the entertainment on offer, you will be helping the 840 Australian families across Victoria who currently requires the support of the Very Special Kids foundation.
