FORGET the apple; a better way to thank special teachers this month is to nominate them for an award.
The National Excellence In Teaching Awards have been recognising inspirational educators since 1994 and nominations for this year’s awards close at the end of this month.

NEiTA chairman Terry O’Connell said: “Teachers are expected to impart information, help our children’s discovery of themselves and the world around them, while also tending to their social and emotional needs.”
