THE City of Moonee Valley is among the safest places to live in metropolitan Melbourne, figures obtained exclusively by Community News show. Thousands of calls to triple-0 from people in Moonee Valley resulted in ambulances, fire trucks, state emergency service vehicles or police cars being dispatched to the area last year.
In March, 1817 emergency calls resulted in police visits to the municipality – an average of one police visit per 58 residents.
This compares with the City of Maribyrnong, which had a highest monthly average of one police visit per 31 residents, and Brimbank, which recorded one visit per 43 residents in October.
