Family fun as Windy Hill hosts sporting heroes

Australia’s biggest sporting names will join Essendon players at Windy Hill on Tuesday 23rd September 2008 for the FREE 2008 Active Kids Day.

Former test cricketer Dean Jones, tennis champion Todd Woodbridge and Australian netballer Bianca Chatfield will take part in the event, hosted by Essendon and the Victorian Government’s Department of Justice in conjunction with 3AW.

Active Kids day is the perfect event for the school holidays featuring loads of outdoor activities to keep the kids entertained.

The event aims to encourage children to get involved and stay involved in sport by promoting the many benefits of taking part in physical activity.

Children can trial a range of sports on the day including football, netball, cricket, hockey, lawn bowls, volleyball, athletics, soccer and tennis.

3AW’s Neil Mitchell program will broadcast live from the event.

Cost: Free entry – no bookings required
