Essendon Football Club will again incorporate a yellow armband into their guernsey in support of the 2008 Call to Arms campaign and the annual Clash for Cancer match this weekend.
The game and the Call to Arms campaign aim to raise funds and awareness for mens’ cancers. The 22 matchday guernseys will then be auctioned after the match, with all funds raised going to the Call to Arms campaign.
“We expect the Call to Arms campaign alone to raise in excess of $200,000 this year which is a great result. It was such a success in Victoria last year we decided to take it national this year and it has been very well received,” Essendon Football Club general manager, Media and Community Simon Matthews said. .More……
