Bombers set to take step into the unknown
There are more questions than answers about the Essendon Football Club as it prepares for its season opener against the Kangaroos at The Dome next Monday. It is this element of the unknown that is creating real excitement around Club and among its supporters, according to senior coach Matthew Knights.
Leigh Clifford the new Number One Ticketholder
Essendon Football Club is pleased to confirm Qantas Chairman and recently retired Rio Tinto CEO, Leigh Clifford, has accepted the position as the Club’s Number One Ticketholder. Mr Clifford takes over from long-time Number One Ticketholder Peter Costello who recently informed the Club he would not be continuing in the role.
Brand new website is on the way
A brand new season looms and so does a brand new Essendon Football Club website. The best AFL Club website and the only independently operated club site will be re-launched next Monday with new features and an even more efficient navigation system making use even easier for Bomber fans.
Extra work to top off McPhee
Adam McPhee is sure to inspire a young Bendigo team when he returns to the VFL this weekend to play Werribee in the Bendigo Bombers’ third practice match of the season. Having suffered hamstring soreness late in the pre-season, McPhee requires an extra match to ensure he is 100 percent for Round 1 of the season proper. According to Bendigo Coach, Adrian Hickmott, McPhee has been training impressively.
