The Annual “Relay for Life”, a 24 hour event to raise money for Cancer Research will convert Windy Hill into a “Tent City”. The Relay kicks off at 6 pm tomorrow, 8th February and about 50 teams have registered to take part. It promises to be an exciting 24 hours.
The Relay commences with an Opening Ceremony at 5.40 pm followed by the Survivors and Carers Lap at 6 pm. A Candle Lighting Ceremony will be held at 9 pm
Throughout the 24 hours of the Relay, there will be on stage entertainment and plenty of activities for young and old to keep everyone occupied whilst on and off the track. The feature act on Friday night will be well known band “Babba”. Darryl Cotten and friends will perform on Saturday and an auction will be conducted at 4 pm.
