Knights’ plan to focus on game style from January
After three months in the job as Essendon coach, Matthew Knights admits training to date has been “efficient” but needs to pick up in key areas. “To date, we have achieved what we needed to achieve and focused on some defensive action scenarios but, to be brutally honest, we are probably a little behind in our game learning and teaching,” Knights said.

Players to focus on specific roles when training resumes
Essendon’s players will be told about specific plans for them on game-days in 2008 when they return from a two-week Christnmas break on the 7th January. Coach, Matthew Knights, said the team, as group, will continue to build its fitness and skill base but that individual players will be spoken too about what is expected from them.
