Essendon Football Club News – Essendon delists three players

Essendon delists three players
Essendon Football Club today announced three further delistings as it prepares for the upcoming NAB National Draft. Mark Johnson, Kepler Bradley and rookie Lachlan McKinnon have all been advised they will be delisted. Essendon coach Matthew Knights said these decisions are never easy, particularly in the case of 29-year-old Mark Johnson.

Richard Cole delisted
The Essendon Football Club today announced that Richard Cole has been delisted. Cole was traded by Collingwood to the Bombers in 2005 for pick number 23.

Dyson re-signs for two years during trade week
Promising midfielder Ricky Dyson is the good news story for Essendon during trade week. Coach Matthew Knights said the 22-year old has accepted a two-year deal with the Bombers after being offered a three-year offer from Fremantle

Ramanauskas signs new contract
Essendon premiership player, Adam Ramanauskas, has capped off a remarkable 2007 by signing a new one-year contract with the club. Essendon coach, Matthew Knights, first announced at the 2007 Crichton Medal count that the 116 game veteran would be elevated off the rookie list, along with Heath Hocking, and is happy a new contract has now been signed.

Essendon resume training on 7th of November
The entire Bombers’ squad will begin pre-season training on Wednesday, November 7 at Windy Hill. Essendon coach, Matthew Knights, said it is a good sign that the full group will start pre-season together.
