Essendon to meet with Chris Judd this week
Essendon will significantly step up its push to sign former West Coast superstar, Chris Judd, when club officials meet with the Brownlow medalist in the next few days. Bombers’ List Manager, Adrian Dodoro, said that Judd is clearly the best player available in this trade period and the club is discussing internally what to do to get him to Essendon.

Sheedy to miss Crichton Medal
Kevin Sheedy has informed the Club that it is highly unlikely he will be available to attend the 2007 Crichton Medal at Crown Palladium on Wednesday, October 3. Kevin told the Club he expects to be travelling overseas with his wife Geraldine at the time of the event.

AFL weekly update
Essendon’s Dustin Flecher and Scott Lucas will find out next Monday (September 17) if they have been selected in the 2007 Coca Cola All Australian Team. Veteran defender Fletcher is vying to make the team for just the second time in his career while forward Lucas is hoping to be named for the first time.

AFL Chief Executive Andrew Demetriou today announced triple Essendon premiership player Jack Jones and Geelong pair Joe Sellwood and Wayne Closter would be inducted into the AFL 200 Club at tomorrow night’s annual dinner, to be held in the Jim Stynes Room at the MCG, after honorary membership for the trio was approved.
