About 45 Moonee Valley residents are expected to be diagnosed with cancer during August and the Cancer Council is calling on locals to buy a daffodil on Friday August 24th to raise money for cancer research, education and support services.

Volunteers throughout Victoria will sell fresh daffodils and daffodil merchandise at train stations, street stalls and shopping centres with the aim of raising more than$2 million for the charity
