The Cancer Council and Essendon Football Club are calling on Victorians to buy a daffodil tomorrow for Daffodil Day, Friday 24 August, to support the 51,000 people across metropolitan and regional Victoria currently undergoing treatment for cancer.
A range of Daffodil Day merchandise will be on sale at street stalls throughout Victoria and the Essendon Football Club are encouraging the local community to visit a site and support the many volunteers who are instrumental in raising critical funds necessary for ongoing cancer research, education and prevention programs and patient support services.
The daffodil is the international symbol of hope for cancer patients, their carers and the wider community. Buy a daffodil on Daffodil Day in honour of someone you know who has been touched by cancer and help to reduce the impact on all Victorians.
