Essendon Football Club News – Untidy Bombers fall short

Untidy Bombers fall short
Despite tonight breaking the record for the most AFL/VFL games played or coached, Kevin Sheedy could not find the answers he needed to combat the pace of the Western Bulldogs as they ran away to a 33-point victory. A severely undermanned Essendon unit battled relentlessly throughout the match but clearly missed James Hird, Alwyn Davey, Mark McVeigh and Dustin Fletcher.

Bombers reload and prepare for Bulldogs
The Bombers have made five changes this week in an attempt to replenish an undermanned Essendon outfit. Scott Camporeale comes into the side to play is 250th game against the Western Bulldogs this Saturday night. He will be joined by Matthew Lloyd, Brent Stanton, Angus Monfries and Nathan Lovett-Murray.

Inaccurate kicking costs Bendigo dearly
Inaccurate kicking at goal has again cost the Bendigo Bombers any chance of victory going down 10.17 (77) to the Northern Bullants 14.8 (92) on Saturday. It was a day when there were few standouts, according to Bendigo Coach Matthew Knights, who named Simon Rosa, in his 100th game, rookie listed Health Hocking and Kepler Bradley as best players.
