Essendon Football Club has joined in the NAIDOC week celebrations to help recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The week is celebrated not just in the Indigenous community, but also in increasing numbers of government agencies, schools, local councils and workplaces.

Essendon to contest McVeigh charge
Essendon will contest the Mark McVeigh striking charge this afternoon in the hope of getting the Match Review Panel’s “high contact” assessment (two points) downgraded. Even if Essendon is successful at the Tribunal, McVeigh will still miss Saturday’s clash with the Western Bulldogs, however, a downgraded assessment will improve his record and will affect any future charges.

Be a part of Sheedy’s record breaker
With Kevin Sheedy set to break Jock McHale’s record for the most official AFL/VFL matches coached or played this weekend, Essendon Football Club are offering Bomber fans the opportunity to treasure the memory forever with a limited edition framed lithograph.
