The Spirit of Moonee Valley Community Awards recognise the contributions of volunteers within the community including individuals, groups and businesses. The awards celebrate their dedication to improving the quality and sustainability of the Moonee Valley lifestyle. If you know someone wothy of one of these awards you are invited to nominate them.

Nominations for 2007 are divided into six categories and judged by an independent panel of five individuals. The categories are:
Contribution to Youth,
Contribution by Youth (under 24 years old)
Contribution to Neighbourhood,
Contribution to Older Persons,
Contribution to Sport and
Contribution to Arts and Culture

An award for Citizen of the Year is presented to one finalist who has demonstrated leadership and initiative and made an outstanding contribution to the development and promotion of a positive ‘community spirit’ in the City of Moonee Valley.

Nominations for 2007 will open Monday, 11 June 2007 and close on Friday, 10 August 2007 at 5pm.
