Bombers get no reward for effort
It was a bittersweet first quarter of football that ultimately cost the Bombers any chance of victory at The Dome on Friday night. Essendon dominated the game early – the midfield was outstanding – but it frittered away opportunities to make the Kangaross pay on the scoreboard. Once the Kangaroos found their feet, their was an air of inevitably about the result. It was ultimatley the Bombers that would pay for thier inaccuracy.

Essendon clarifies Ramanauskas position
The Essendon Football Club today clarified its position on the issue of medical costs for Adam Ramanauskas’ cancer treatment being included in Total Player Payments (TTP). Chief Executive Officer, Peter Jackson, said Essendon never formally applied for these costs to be excluded from TPP. The Club had informal discussions with the AFL and agreed based on the rule interpretation that if the club paid these expenses they would rightly be included in the TPP.
