Dreamtime delight for the Bombers
As fans adorned in red, yellow and black packed the MCG to celebrate the contributions of Indigenous Australians in the annual Dreamtime at the G blockbuster, the revelry finished a good sight sweeter for the Bombers who launched a last minute comeback to defeat the Tigers by eight points.
Resignation of Bendigo Bomber General Manager Matthew Allan
Essendon Football Club Managing Director, Peter Jackson, today wished Bendigo Bombers General Manager, Matthew Allan, well in the next phase of his professional life. “It is a pity for the Bendigo Bombers that Matthew has announced his resignation today but we wish him well,” Mr Jackson said.
Call to Arms campaign
The Call to Arms campaign will be staged across Victoria on the weekend of June 23 and 24 to raise money for the fight against cancer. Footballers and football supporters across the State will be asked to wear a yellow armband and make a donation with funds to go to the Cancer Council Victoria.
