Flemington Library to close for renovations

(City of Moonee Valley)

Flemington Library is about to undergo a facelift, which will create additional space and give this great community asset a fresh look. The renovations will take place over two weeks, beginning after its doors close for Easter at 4pm on Thursday, 5 April. The library will reopen on Monday, 23 April.

Moonee Valley Mayor Cr Ben Opie apologised to users for the inconvenience of the closure. “This is a popular community library and we recognise that the closure will inconvenience some users. The Council, however, has an obligation to our residents to ensure valuable facilities such as this are maintained and upgraded to provide the best service possible,” Cr Opie said.

Library users will be unable to return library books to the Flemington library during the closure, but library users can choose to return books to any of the other four branches or to renew their books by phone at 8325 1900 or through the library page on libraries.mvcc.vic.gov.au. more….
