Selection a tall order for Saints clash
The Essendon match committee will have to think long and hard about the prospect of having three tall targets in front of goal when the Bombers take on St Kilda next weekend. The problem comes in the shape of Courtney Johns who brilliantly led the Bendigo Bombers to a 23-point win over the Northern Bullants this afternoon.
Neagle out for eight
Essendon have encountered more injury troubles after discovering a stress fracture in Jay Neagle’s ankle last week. The injury comes as a major blow for Neagle who has been impressive in the VFL in recent weeks. “I really feel for Jay because he has been in great shape in the VFL and we are building Jay Neagle and he is definitely a part of the future of the Essendon footy club,” Essendon High performance coach John Quinn explained.
Bendigo to battle Sandringham at Windy Hill
The Bendigo Bomber’s Round 3 match against Sandringham this Sunday 22nd April has been relocated Windy Hill due to the unsatisfactory condition of QEO oval. There is no doubt the Bendigo boys will be keen to put on a strong display for the Essendon army who come along to cheer on the red and black.
