Essendon Football Club News – Bombers show their feminine side

Bombers show their feminine side
Join in the celebration of International Women’s Day and show the women in your life just how special they are with a compliment or random act of kindness. For women around the world International Women’s Day is an occasion to review how far women have come in their struggle for equality, peace and development, and an opportunity to unite, network and mobilise for meaningful change – here and overseas.

Jetta the excitement machine
Stepping out in the Red and Black guernsey on the weekend against West Coast, Leroy Jetta impressed teammates and fans alike, booting three goals while holding his own against the Eagles’ David Wirrpanda. “It was a great feeling to get out there with the boys and play alongside the likes of Matthew Lloyd,” Jetta explained.

Bombers go down but signs good
Essendon went down to the Western Bulldogs at Skilled Stadium this afternoon by 11 points but it was an encouraging display from the Bombers who were without a number of senior players. Dustin Fletcher, Scott Lucas, Jason Johnson, Jobe Watson, Brent Stanton, Andrew Welsh, Richard Cole and Scott Camporeale were missing for the game.
