BUSINESS people in the west can take part in a cruise up the Maribyrnong River next month.

The Greater Western Chamber of Commerce and Industry is hosting an evening cruise on the famous Blackbird, aimed at introducing business people to one another.

River views take in Flemington racecourse, Footscray Park housing, Victoria University, rowing and canoe clubs, Living Museum of the West, sporting venues, art and craft centre, Essendon golf course, and the old sandpits.

The cruise runs from 6-8.30pm on Tuesday, February 20. Meet at 5.45pm, 1 Maribyrnong Street, Footscray – enter via Saltriver Place (Melway 42E5).

Cost of $35 for members and $50, non-members, includes wine, beer, champagne, soft drinks and a picnic box. Bring a colleague for free as well as business cards, camera and a notebook.
