Davey causes a stir
Alwyn Davey has told the football world to stand up and take notice after he impressed teammates and supporters alike during an intra-club match on the weekend. Kicking three goals and racking up numerous possessions, Davey proved handy up forward in a role he hopes to adopt when the real stuff begins.

Jetta loaded and ready to fire
After being touted as one of the best young talents in the country, Essendon couldn’t believe its luck when Leroy Jetta was still available at pick 18 in the 2006 National Draft. Having pencilled him in as a player to go in the top ten, it was just a formality for the Bombers to use their second pick overall for this Clontarf College graduate.

Ramanauskas back in training
Adam Ramanauskas’ battle to return to full health has taken an important step forward with him now able to re-join his teammates on the training track. Ramanauskas is still to get a clean bill of health but specialists have given him the all clear to return to training which he did this morning at Windy Hill and the prospect remains that he may again play football at some stage this season.
