Monday 13th November, 3 pm At the Essendon River League pillar (in the south – west corner of Maribyrnong Park, near Maribyrnong Bridge and the Trugo hut)
A tree will be planted by the Mayor of Moonee Valley, and The Honourable Judy Maddigan, MLA, will unveil a plaque commemorating the foundation of the Essendon River League in 1906.
Mrs Maddigan will also launch a commemorative history of the Essendon River League, written by Essendon Historical Society meber,
Marilyn Kenny. The book will be available on the day for $10. If you would like a copy of the book, and/or to attend the commemoration,
