Injuries costly to Laycock’s progress
Playing only six games in a season plagued by injury, Jason Laycock lacked opportunities to display his skills with his ranking dropping to 4.05. After showing a great deal of promise in previous seasons, fan’s believe Laycock must deliver on expectations in 2007.

Fans welcome Heffernan’s return
In his return to the Bombers this year, Chris Heffernan was a solid contributor for the red and black, putting in a valiant effort each week. One of the more experienced players in the Essendon line-up, fans felt that Heffernan’s influence on the field could have been a lot greater this year.

Mal Michael to join Bombers
Essendon Football Club today confirmed it had reached agreement on a two-year deal with former Brisbane player Mal Michael and that it would be taking him with its first selection (second overall) in the pre-season draft.
