2006 Football Woman of the Year
Barb Cullen has today been named the 2006 Football Woman of the Year. The award was announced at The Great Grand Final Comedy Debate, presented by the Essendon Women’s Network. While she may not be a household name, her contribution to AFL has been significant in her commitment to the preservation of football’s heritage and tradition.
Consistency the key for Dyson
Essendon fans believe the club saw some great development from Ricky Dyson in 2006, but believe he needs to work on his consistency to become a real impact player in the future. Giving the pacey midfielder a ranking of 5.65, they believe he shows some real skill and ability that will continue to get better in the coming seasons.
Fans frustrated for Henneman
It was an extremely difficult task for Essendon fans to rate the season of Aaron Henneman, failing to play a game due to a serious shoulder injury. Frustrated that he was unable to play, they thought that with his build and strength a fully fit Aaron Henneman could have been a handy addition to the Bombers half-back line in 2006.
