At the NAB AFL Rising Stars award ceremony last week, Essendon player Adam Ramanauskas delivered a speech to the young players that touched everyone in the room and put everything in perspective. Now read the full transcript of his speech on BomberLand.

Who is the Bombers best in 2006?
The 2006 Crichton Medallist will be announced tomorrow night at Crown Palladium. But which Bomber will take out the coveted award? It has been a difficult year for Essendon on field finishing the season in second bottom with some bad luck and unfortunate injuries contributing to the position. And despite the challenges, a number of players stood up to the test with strong seasons.

Bombers sign AFL/NSW scholarship player
It was the experience that many can only dream of for Simon Davies who trained with the Bombers last week as part of the AFL/NSW scholarship program. The program, which allows AFL clubs to recruit up to two teenagers from NSW each year, gives aspiring footballers the opportunity to enhance their football prospects.

Watson BomberLand Player of the Year
After enduring a frustrating season, Jobe Watson has been rewarded for his efforts in 2006, winning the BomberLand TAG Heuer Player of the Year with 39 votes. In his fourth season at Essendon, Watson has had a remarkable year that saw him play 21 games and cement a position as an integral part of the Essendon midfield.
