Bombers sign AFL/NSW scholarship player

The program, which allows AFL clubs to recruit up to two teenagers from NSW each year, gives aspiring footballers the opportunity to enhance their football prospects.
Lucas goal haul not quite enough
Despite a gallant effort, Essendon has been defeated by the Western Bulldogs in its final match of the 2006 season tonight at The Dome. The Bombers were 45 points down during the match, but fought back to take the lead late in the third quarter only to be run over by the fast finishing Doggies by 22-points.
Two changes to Bomber line-up
Two changes have been made for Essendon’s final match of the 2006 season tomorrow night against the Western Bulldogs at The Dome. Jason Johnson returns from suspension, while Andrew Lee will play his first senior game since Round 16. Dean Rioli is out of the team following his retirement and Joel Reynolds has been omitted.
