Essendon Blog congratulates Mr Ron Kennelly on being named Moonee Valley Citizen of the Year last Friday. Mr Kennelly has been a member of Neighbourhood Watch for 13 years. He is also a member of the Northern Community Road Safety Council and helped instigate the “walking school busses” movement which allows primary school children to walk to school in safety. The movement has now spread to 10 schools in the area. The awards are conducted by the Moonee Valley Council and Mr Kennelly thanked the council for the “great honour”.
