Bar and nightclub owners in Moonee Ponds’ main entertainment strip say Moonee Valley Council’s failure to supply more parking is killing their businesses.
The proprietors of the Cubby House and Orange Door said they wanted to know if there was a future for businesses in the Mt Alexander Rd precinct. “Too many businesses are shutting in this strip,” Cubby House owner Trent di Pietro said.
He said the council’s failure to budget to build the pedestrian link to Gladstone St this year was another blow, adding: “It’s the council’s quiet way of killing off the entertainment precinct.”…..more
