Again the Essendon Over 50’s Walkers are inviting you to join them in their activities. A day trip will leave Kellaway Avenue, Moonee Ponds on Thursday 20 September for Katandra Native Gardens, Wandin. These magnificent gardens will be at their best as the following week they will be a feature of the Open Garden Scheme. Included in the day will be a guided tour of the gardens and a visit to a winery for afternoon tea and for those that desire some wine tasting. Bring your own lunch for a picnic in the gardens. Cost – $30 per person. Also from 16 to 20 October we are going on a five day trip to Eden at about the same time as the whales. Trips both north and south and inland will be made as well as breakfast on the beach, a morning cruise on the new Cat Balou, trips include Boyd National Park, Montreal Goldfield and Bermagui, Merimbula, Bega, Kallaru and much more.
