Essendon fans are encouraged to get to Friday night’s game against Collingwood at the MCG early or via public transport. An increase of traffic is expected in the area with events on both at Rod Laver Arena and Olympic Park, which may cause delays when entering the MCG precinct.

Lovett-Murray back for Bombers
Coming off its best performance of the season, Essendon has made just one change to its Round 18 side to play the Sydney Swans on Saturday night at the SCG. Nathan Lovett-Murray returns to the side after completing his three-week suspension, with Joel Reynolds the unlucky player to miss out on a game.

Season over for two young Bombers
The 2006 season has come to a premature end for two young Bombers with Andrew Lovett and Henry Slattery set to undergo season-ending surgery. Lovett has a cracked bone in his hand – an injury he sustained against Sydney – while Henry Slattery will have an arthroscope on his hip.
