McVeigh signs new deal with Bombers
There was good news on the contract front this week for the Bombers with Mark McVeigh agreeing to a new two-year deal with the Club. McVeigh has had an excellent season for the Bombers and would be one of the leading contenders for the Crichton Medal at this stage of the season.

Bombers break the drought
It has been a long time coming, but Essendon fans can all celebrate tonight as the Bombers registered their first victory in 121 days. Without a win since Round 1 of the season, Essendon has had to wait 16 weeks, but tonight it was a sweet victory as it conquered the Brisbane Lions by 37-points at The Dome.

With grim times at Windy Hill this season due to injury woes, poor form and just plain old bad luck, it is no wonder that many dedicated Bomber supporters have turned to the Essendon website to vent some of their frustration.

Lloyd: Confidence has cost us
After another two weeks of getting so close against St Kilda and Carlton, but still searching for a win, Essendon captain Matthew Lloyd believes a lack of confidence and experience has been the costly factor for the Bombers.
