Sheedy the latest Bomber struck down by injury
Just when you thought Essendon’s injury list couldn’t get any longer, another key Bomber will undergo surgery tomorrow. But it is not a player we are talking about, it’s senior coach Kevin Sheedy. Sheedy will have an operation on his shoulder to repair ligament and tendon damage.
Monfries, Slattery re-sign with Bombers
There was good news from Windy Hill today with young Essendon players Angus Monfries and Henry Slattery agreeing to new two-year deals with the club that will take them to the end of the 2008 season.
McPhee accepts one-match suspension
Adam McPhee will plead guilty to a charge of striking St Kilda’s Robert Harvey in the first quarter of Saturday’s match. He will miss Essendon’s Round 16 match against Carlton with the one-week suspension. The match review panel ruled the contact was reckless, high impact, in play and high contact.
