Sheedy the latest Bomber struck down by injury
Just when you thought Essendon’s injury list couldn’t get any longer, another key Bomber will undergo surgery tomorrow. But it is not a player we are talking about, it’s senior coach Kevin Sheedy. Sheedy will have an operation on his shoulder to repair ligament and tendon damage.
Davis inducted into Essendon Hall of Fame
Former Essendon captain, three-time best and fairest and three-time premiership player, Barry Davis was last night inducted into the Essendon Hall of Fame at the annual Dick Reynolds Club cocktail party. He is just the 16th person to be inducted.
Sheedy out of hospital and resting at home
Essendon coach Kevin Sheedy is resting comfortably at home after being released from hospital this morning having undergone major shoulder surgery on Tuesday night. The Essendon senior coach expects to be at the MCG on Saturday afternoon but is unsure in what capacity.
