Chook Parma Fest @ ERC supports rowers for 06/07 Season

Over the past 12 plus months two passionate members of the Essendon Rowing Club have devoted their Thursday nights to feeding the members of the ERC and local community. Nat Sentry (Director – Podoba) and Peter Bell (Managing Director – Technophobia) on top of their ERC work loads have consistently provided one of the best kept secrets in Moonee Ponds.

Every second Thursday, Nat and Peter fire up the kitchen at ERC and cook their CHOOK PARMA and CHIPS for an average hungry crowd of 50 locals. Over the past few months more and more local residents are coming down to enjoy the scrumptious delights served at 48 The Boulevard. Over $2500 have been donated to the ERC by happy diners in the past 12 months. The fortnightly cook up has been a regular event at the family orientated club for numerous years with Yvonne Peers and Trudy Wapling working the kitchen successfully prior to Nat and Peter Taking over. The funds over the years have assisted the club to improve member facilities with a new t.v and couch. The club has also been able to purchase a new racing pair, 2 tub four’s and a full recondition of the club racing four.

Without the efforts of members such as Nat and Peter (Trudy and Yvonne), ERC would not be able to move forward and develop the skills of the rowers, matching it with the likes of M.U.B.C and Mercentile R.C.
