Moonee Valley Mayor Cr Jan Chantry is encouraging citizens to attend the City’s Anzac Day ceremony on Sunday 23 April, 2006.

Held in conjunction with the Essendon RSL, the ceremony at the cenotaph in Queen’s Park will commemorate the 91st anniversary of the landing at Anzac Cove.

“This will be the 88th Anzac Day ceremony to be held at the Queen’s Park cenotaph.

“Anzac Day is significant in our history as it allows us to acknowledge the contributions of our fellow Australians and gives us an opportunity to learn about the customs and traditions associated with this time in our country’s past,” Cr Chantry said.
