Bombers impress in final pre-season hit-out
Essendon has rounded out its pre-season in great style scoring a thumping 51-point win over Richmond in Mildura this afternoon. The Bombers dominated the game from the first bounce with a brilliant midfield the key to victory. The signs are good for the season opener against Sydney in just 15 days time at The Dome.

Big guns back as season opener looms
It might not be the Bombers’ best side but it is getting very close to it. This Friday night in Mildura Essendon will have its final and arguably its most important hit out of the pre-season. Lloyd and Fletcher are back, Hird has been included as have Jason Johnson and Dean Solomon. But it certainly won’t be a training run with Richmond also naming a very strong side.

Bombers too strong for young Hawks
Bomber fans breathed a sigh of relief tonight at the Queen Elizabeth Oval, with Essendon champion James Hird cleared of any major injury after limping off the ground early in the third quarter after receiving a kick to the calf.
